Torsten Heinemann studied Sociology, Political Sciences, Psychology and Philosophy in Frankfurt. His research interest is in Social Theory, Critical Theory, Philosophy of Science, History of Science, Science and Technology Studies and Cultural Sociology. He was scholar of the German National Academic Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes) and visiting scholar at Columbia University and New York University, New York. From February 2010 onwards he is a postdoctoral research fellow in the project "DNA and Immigration" at the Goethe University, Frankfurt.
